Offshore 650 HT – Bristling with Innovation
With the large gold plinth for Boat of the Show: All Purpose Family Boat 7m standing beside it, Offshore Boats’ 650 HT was hard to miss at the recent Hutchwilco NZ Boat Show.
Element of surprise – Offshore 750 HT
The latest offering from Northland manufacturer Offshore Boats is the 750 HT (hardtop). Jonathan Barlow and his team took their sweet-riding, Alan Walker designed 650 HT (Boating NZ, October 2020) as their starting point, retaining the same 2.4m beam but adding a metre to her length.
Taking it to limit – Circa 950
This is a big boat in every sense, with a price tag over $NZ500,000. So what do you get for half a million dollars plus? Barry Thompson went North to Tutukaka to find out.

At the time, a hardtop version of the boat was nearing completion, but with Covid getting in the way the new model wasn’t ready until July.
